Growing Vegetables,
Growing People

Our mission is to connect people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to the larger community through shared living and the work of a sustainable farm.

Our vision is to be a destination for learning and growth for people of all abilities.

Our core values are community, relationships and growth. To live out these core values we focus on the practices of compassion, sustainability and servant leadership.

Our Impact

"Peacehaven has taught me how to better be my authentic self and that I don't need to produce measurable things or reach quotas to make a difference in someone's life."

Emma

"At Peacehaven, I've come to appreciate the great variety of life in this world -- vegetable, human, and otherwise. I've come to feel loved by a community."

Sean

"Peacehaven consistently reminds me of some really important parts of life: being ourselves, respecting others, and finding purpose. Being/seeming perfect or even just competent aren’t the goal. Getting to know each other and appreciating things about each other are the goal."

Carolyn

"Peacehaven is a prime example of what 'Community' is and what 'Community' should be.  All supporters of Peacehaven can be assured that their gift expands way beyond those 90 acres and enhances the lives of many people."

Marcus

"Peacehaven has taught me the importance of receiving another as a fellow human first and foremost, regardless of ways they are labeled able or disabled.  Learning to work with another in friendship instead of working for has allowed me to learn, grow, and gain wisdom around relational community."
