Peacehaven farm

 

Workday Every Saturday

Come out to Peacehaven Community Farm on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. No need to call ahead. No experience needed. All are welcome.

Directions To Peacehaven. Take I-40/85 east to Burlington. Take exit 138 (Whitsett/Hwy 61). Take a right (left if you are coming from Burlington) going south on Hwy 61 for approximately 1.5 miles. Peacehaven is on the right (just before you cross Lake McIntosh for the second time). You will see a barn and office that sit back from the road about a 100 yards. The address is
1458 NC Hwy 61, Whitsett, NC 27377.

The Vision of Peacehaven Farm


Peacehaven Farm will be a community for people with intellectual and physical disabilities. A desire to be in a community is independent of our abilities or disabilities. The farm will be located in the rolling hills of the Triad area of North Carolina. Peacehaven will be a working farm that will provide a community within itself as well as invite others to the farm. It will not be a place of isolation, but one of destination for both those with disabilities and for the community at large.
