Life as we know it has changed. But our mission has not. Even in these unprecented times, Peacehaven is connecting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to the larger community through shared living and the work of a sustainable farm.
The need for safety guidelines has undoubtedly changed our community-living model. Going forward we will need to re-evaluate with community will look like. Amidst all the change, we have been able to focus on growing fruits and vegetables. At of the end of September, we had tripled our yearly production and had harvested more that 3000 pounds of produce.
Our annual Seeds of Hope campaign raises funds for our annual operating budget. Gifts range from $10 to thousands of dollars and every gift makes a difference. With your donation, we will be able to execute what our new normal will look like in Susan’s View and around the farm. With your donation, we will be able to continue to grow food to eat at the farm and to share with the community. With your donation, we can continue to grow relationships and vegetables.
Over these past few months, we have learned that now – maybe more than ever – community and connection are vital to human life. Thank you for being part of our community. Thank you for learning and growing with us. Thank you for your donation.
