Heidi Norwick recently retired from United Way of Alamance County. She joined the staff in 2012 as Director of Community Impact and serves as President for the past 10 years. Before joining United Way, Heidi was the Executive Director of the Women’s Resource Center in Alamance County for 16 years. She was awarded the Founder’s Award by the Women’s Resource Center for her dedication to mentoring others in leadership and for an impactful career in nonprofit work.
Heidi served on multiple Boards of Directors and committees including Alamance Achieves Steering Committee, Alamance County Justice Advocacy Council, and served as the Chair of the Board for the Alamance County Department of Social Services. Heidi has a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from New York Institute of Technology, a certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University and is a graduate of Leadership Alamance. Heidi’s focus throughout her career has always been to seek equity for all and to be a voice for those who are unheard and underserved.
