Community Partners

Relationships matter—we feel this deeply.  Of all the seeds that have been planted in establishing Peacehaven, it is the relationships that are grounded in Peacehaven soil and that continue to grow and flourish with each passing season that are most important.  Community is at our core; it has fueled our development, it gives the farm life and it reaches far beyond the farm boundaries.

Partners

Working with and through our many partners provides opportunities for our residents to be actively engaged with our broader community.  Partnerships are invaluable in our current economic climate and facilitate the sharing of information and experience and provide opportunities for organizations to assist one another and work together on projects and initiatives.  These partnerships enhance our effectiveness in serving our community and advocating for the people we serve.   Relationships really matter—a lot.

Our partners include businesses, faith communities, foundations, community organizations, school and college groups, and other non-profits.  We are grateful to all of these partners for their ongoing generosity.  If you're interested in forming a new partnership, please contact us.

Businesses

Businesses of all sizes make significant contributions to Peacehaven through sponsoring projects, making in-kind and other donations, providing grants and supporting the farm in numerous capacities.  Many businesses arrange volunteer projects to provide teambuildingexperiences for their employees.

Faith Communities

Many local faith communities provide volunteer and/or financial support. We welcome people of all faith backgrounds and beliefs to join us in our mission to provide a place where people with special needs have the opportunity to live independently in a setting where they are valued and are able to grow into the people God desires them to be.

Churches and other places of worship raise funds to support our mission, advocate for affordable housing and supportive services, provide volunteers for our community workdays and provide other vital support.

Foundations

We’re grateful of our local foundations and their commitment to improve our community for all people and the support that they provide to Peacehaven and other local nonprofits.

Community Organizations

Our community is rich with people who care about making the world a better place.  There are many ways to get involved, and we welcome community organizations interested in learning about Peacehaven.

School and College Groups

With schools incorporating service learning into their curriculum, an increasing number of young people seem to be actively engaged in volunteering and serving others.  Groups from schools, universities and colleges in Greensboro, High Point, Elon, Chapel Hill and Raleigh have not only volunteered at Peacehaven but have embraced Peacehaven.  They come back repeatedly and they bring a special energy and joy to the farm.  They contribute in a multitude of ways and even learn a few things in the process.
