Summer Series Speakers: Dr. Ann Fox and Phelps Sprinkle

Dr. Ann Fox is an English professor at Davidson College. Her teaching interests include disability in drama, literature, and visual culture. She has been a Fellow at the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute on Disability Studies. She has also served on the executive board for the Society for Disability Studies and the MLA Executive Committee of the Division on Disability Studies. Her current book project traces the representation of disability on the 20th-century commercial stage.
Phelps Sprinkle is the Vice President for Development and Donor Services at the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro. A graduate of Davidson College, Phelps co-founded Topics Education Group, a strategic communications firm, which he led as CEO for 17 years. He then served for two years as Executive Vice President for Strategic Engagement for Easter Seals UCP (United Cerebral Palsy) before joining Peacehaven as the Director of Business Development and later Peacehaven's board. Phelps and his wife are the parents of a child with a disability, Roxie, which has given their work in disability advocacy a deep passion.
