Fall 2008 Update

We are busy this fall with three major initiatives. First, we are working with a housing consulting in preparation for the construction of our first residential home next year.

We are also thankful for the help we are receiving from the Philanthropic Advisory Group who is helping Peacehaven with strategic planning and organizational development.

Last but not least we are continuing to evaluate options for our farming and gardening operations. We want to have a full fledged community garden up and running next year that will grow both vegetables and relationships!

The vision of Peacehaven Farm
Peacehaven Farm will be a community for people with intellectual and physical disabilities. A desire to be in a community is independent of our abilities or disabilities. The farm will be located in the rolling hills of the Triad area of North Carolina. Peacehaven will be a working farm that will provide a community within itself as well as invite others to the farm. It will not be a place of isolation, but one of destination for both those with disabilities and for the community at large.
