Creating a community that models a family. The most basic community any of us will ever experience is that of our own families. On a farm everyone is needed and can contribute. Peacehaven residents live in homes - not just in rooms with a number on the door. They share meals with other community members around a dining room table. They are valued. They are part of an extended family.

Integrated with the larger community and world. We hope our community will be a place for gathering and celebration.The farm will be a place of destination for the surrounding communities in the piedmont of North Carolina. Rolling hillsides and lakefront access will be a retreat not only for those who live on the farm, but also for those who want to re-ground themselves in a beautiful setting.

Life together with each other and the land around us. We want our farming and gardening activities to be a place where the residents of Peacehaven Farm can interact with the larger community. We invite our neighbors and those interested in sustainable farming practices to join with us.
